A Practice Built on
Calm, Considered Work
Ember Nilsk started with a simple observation: homeowners often finish an electrical job feeling uncertain about what was done and why. We wanted that to change.
Who We Are
Ember Nilsk is a residential electrical practice operating out of Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur. We focus on three areas of home electrical work: thorough home visits, fitting replacement, and distribution panel attention — each scoped clearly so you know what you're getting before we arrive.
The practice was established after years of field observation showed that most homeowners felt uninformed after electrician visits. Work would be completed, a bill would be handed over, and the homeowner was left with little understanding of what had been found or what had changed. Our response was to make written clarity a standard part of every service.
We work with homeowners across the Kuala Lumpur area, from Bangsar to Setapak, treating each household as its own set of priorities. Our technicians take the time to listen before they start, and leave written notes before they go.
What Guides Our Work
Written Clarity as Standard
Every service ends with a written summary. What was checked, what was found, and any observations worth keeping in mind — organised clearly by area of your home.
Respect for Your Decision-Making
If we find something worth addressing, we describe it clearly and leave the choice with you. There's no sales pressure attached to any recommendation we make.
Workmanship Over Speed
We give each job the time it needs. Fittings are installed tidily, panels are labelled properly, and circuits are tested before we leave — not rushed to the next booking.
Compliance With Malaysian Standards
All work follows the Electrical Supply Act and MS IEC standards applicable to residential installations in Malaysia. Our technicians hold current registration with Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
The People Behind the Work
Emil Nazri
Lead Electrician & Founder
Holds a Chargeman A4 certification with over fourteen years of experience in residential electrical installations across the Klang Valley. Established Ember Nilsk after a period working with larger contractors left him wanting more direct contact with homeowners.
Hafizuddin Sukor
Senior Technician
Specialises in panel work and circuit diagnostics. Hafizuddin joined the practice in its second year after training with a technical college in Cheras and completing his Wireman W1 licensing. Known among clients for his methodical labelling work.
Nurul Liyana
Client Coordinator
Manages scheduling, visit preparation, and written report distribution. Nurul ensures that every client receives their summary promptly and that any follow-up questions are answered clearly before the next step is discussed.
How We Maintain Quality
Suruhanjaya Tenaga Registration
Technicians hold current licences issued by Malaysia's Energy Commission. Registration is maintained and renewed as required by regulation.
MS IEC Standards Compliance
All work follows Malaysian Standards for low voltage electrical installations, including wiring methods, circuit protection, and earthing requirements.
De-energised Work Procedure
All connections are made with affected circuits isolated from supply. Lockout procedures are followed on panel work to confirm circuits are de-energised before any component is touched.
Post-Work Functional Testing
Every fitting, circuit, or panel component worked on is tested for correct function before the technician leaves the site. Results are noted in the written summary.
Client Privacy Respect
Personal data collected for scheduling and reporting is handled with care. We do not share client information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Clean Workspace Practice
Work areas are protected before starting and cleared before leaving. Packaging, cable trimmings, and replaced components are removed or disposed of responsibly.
Residential Electrical Care in the Klang Valley
Home electrical installations in Malaysia's urban areas age and adapt over decades. Distribution boards sized for older loads now serve households with more devices, more air conditioning units, and more lighting circuits than they were originally planned for. A scheduled check with a qualified technician can identify where the current setup handles this well and where considered attention would be practical.
Ember Nilsk approaches residential electrical work with that context in mind. Each visit is treated as a conversation with the homeowner first — what they've noticed, what concerns them, and what they want to understand about their installation. The technician works through a structured sequence and provides observations in writing, not just verbally.
Our fitting replacement service suits homes where individual items have reached the end of their useful life or where a homeowner is updating a property's interior. Working through a planned list of items in a single visit is more practical than multiple short call-outs, and we approach the scope of work with the homeowner before scheduling.
For distribution panels, the work involves testing protective devices against rated specifications, examining the condition of internal wiring and connections, reviewing circuit labelling for accuracy, and noting anything that would benefit from attention in the near term. Recommendations are set out plainly, and the homeowner decides what to act on.
